MEGHAN Markle has ruled out doing a postpartum photocall outside the steps of the Lindo Wing and “felt sorry” for Kate Middleton when she did it.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, is expected to give birth to her first child any day now, though is keeping her birth plans private.

This may be because Meghan doesn’t want to wear a designer dress, heels and a full face of makeup and pose for photos just hours after giving birth, The Post reports.

Kate and Prince William posed on the steps outside the Lindo following the births of their three children.

Last year the Duchess of Cambridge looked immaculate as she emerged just hours after Prince Louis’ birth.

But Meghan and Harry have released a statement announcing their intention to do things their way when it comes to the birth of their first child.

DOING IT DIFFERENTLY

The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.

“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

It is thought that the couple might introduce the baby to the world on their brand new Instagram account.

The royal couple recently broke away from the Fab Four’s Kensington Palace account to create their own @SussexRoyal page last week, and now have 4.3million followers.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Sun Online: “There will be a huge demand for photos and it may well be no coincidence that they have just opened an Instagram account.”

JUST DAYS AWAY

“The birth of Baby Sussex will be a global event.

“If there is no pose outside the hospital the couple, on this most personal of occasions, they will be sure to send photos to the millions awaiting them.

“It’s worth remembering they are a celebrity power couple and we know how significant they are in the royal family.”

Meghan has ditched four decades of tradition all-together and has decided not to have her baby at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.

Instead, the couple are said to have opted for a maternity unit closer to their Windsor home.

The link between the Lindo Wing and the Royal Family dates back to 1977. The Princess Royal had her first child Peter Phillips there, followed by daughter Zara in 1981.

Diana chose it for the births of William in 1982 and Harry in 1984.

Kate followed in 2013, 2015 and 2018 with George, Charlotte and Louis.
