MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry are enjoying their last trip abroad before the arrival of Baby Sussex in April.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on a three-day tour of Morocco, which began yesterday.
The couple are due to move into the newly renovated Frogmore Cottage, which has undergone a multi-million revamp, ahead of the birth and will settle down and raise their child there.
As they prepare to make the move to Frogmore – leaving behind not only Kate and Wills but neighbours Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank – a royal expert has warned this could spell trouble for Meghan.
Royal expert Rupert Bell said once Baby Sussex arrives, things could change for the 37-year-old.
He told talkRADIO: “I think where the problem could be for her is cooped up in the royal palace.
“She is going to be cooped up in a lavished, upholstered cottage in Windsor Park but it’s still going to feel lonely.
“Once the fairy dust settles, once you are no longer the star turn, that’s when the issue for her could surface.”
Meghan is said to be a very active member of the royal family, taking her role seriously and being as hands-on as possible.
But Rupert said the former actress may find it hard to juggle motherhood, being a royal and campaigning for her causes.
He added: “However much she wants to do the work she thinks is important and the causes close to her heart – hopefully, she can find and maintain the enthusiasm once the reality of being a mummy is concerned and everything that entails.
“It will be just under a year when she has the baby that she has married into the family who put an immediate strain on her because of the nature and the history and perception of how things have to be done.”
Meghan and Harry got engaged following a whirlwind romance, with the couple due to be parents less than a year after they married.
The Duchess is said to have been very involved in the renovation of Frogmore, particularly in the nursery, where she’s gone for a gender-free theme of greys and whites using vegan paint.
Located in the grounds of Windsor Park, they’re leaving behind Kensington Palace where they’ve been living in their starter home Nottingham Cottage, referred to as Nott Cott.
It was also Prince William and Kate Middleton’s starter home, and Prince Harry moved in after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge upgraded to the plush Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.
