MIKE Tindall has been warned to keep his lips zipped when it comes to the Royal family’s personal lives, a source has claimed.
The rugby ace, 40, who’s married to the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips, was recently reminded not to speak out about private family news, according to the Mirror.
It comes after the dad-of-two revealed his daughters Mia, five, and Lena, one, were yet to meet their two-month-old second cousin Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
Mike let the surprising news slip at a charity golf tournament in Wales two weeks ago.
The source said: “Mike is adored by all members of the Royal Family for his down-to-earth nature and good humour.
“But recently it’s been felt he may inadvertently reveal something that should remain private.”
The Sun’s Emily Andrews later revealed Prince George and Princess Charlotte didn’t meet cousin Archie for another week – when the Sussexes and Cambridges went to the Polo together.
Mike’s mother-in-law Princess Anne famously refused to let her kids have titles – so Olympian Zara, 38, and brother Peter, 41, could lead normal lives.
But the source added there’s no getting away from Zara’s Royal bloodline – although there’s no wish to dampen Mike’s spirits.

“Like it or not, there’s a line they must toe,” they continued. “It’s more about being more on his guard when asked about his in-laws.”
A Royal spokesman declined to comment when approached by The Mirror.
Earlier this month, we revealed how “fun-loving” Zara and Mike are the most wanted Royal guests at dinner parties – NOT Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
