The sickening Momo Challenge involves a creepy female figure with twisted features encouraging teenagers to self-harm and even take their own lives.
It first started as a sick WhatsApp “suicide” game, before spreading to YouTube and other social media sites.
The messages warn that if the violent tasks aren’t performed, recipients are “cursed” by Momo.
Those targeted also receive a number of disturbing and graphic images.
Parents must act if they hear the above video playing through their children’s electronic devices.
The clip shows the viral picture of Momo, with a child’s voice singing: “Momo, Momo, Momo is going to kill you.
“At night she’ll come when you’re in bed.
“In the morning, you will be dead.”
It continues by threatening to “kill” the listener when they’re “home alone”.
The twisted game has already been linked to the suicide of a 12-year-old girl in Argentina and at least 130 teen deaths across Russia.
But a mum has now revealed a brilliant trick to fight the craze, simply by given the nightmarish figure of Momo a little makeover.
Police in Leicestershire have issued a warning over the game, after it hit UK shores last week.
“It is believed that children are contacted by ‘Momo’ who asks then to perform dangerous challenges,” a statement read.
“It has also been suggested that ‘Momo’ has infected a number of platforms, including YouTube, Fortnite and WhatsApp.”
Horrific stories have emerged since the challenge went viral.
A mum claimed her eight-year-old son was told to stick a knife to his neck.
