THE monster who kept a teen as a sex slave in a dog cage for more than a year has walked out of court free, despite getting a conviction.
Michael Wysolovski already spent eight months in jail while he was charged with first-degree cruelty to children and will now serve the rest of his 10-year-sentence on probation, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The 33-year-old found his victim on an anorexia forum online when she was just 15.
The girl, from North Carolina, told the vile man how she was unhappy at home and he convinced her to runaway, and she walked three miles from her home to meet him at a motorway in May 2016.
Wysolovski took the teen, who was 16 at the time, to his home in Duluth, Georgia – more than 200 miles away – where he unleashed his reign of torture on the helpless girl.
He convinced his victim to act out rape scenes with in a “consensual non-consensual” relationship, which is common between BDSM couples as long as there are clear guidelines and a safe word to stop.
Prosecutors said he started to violate their sexual guidelines by ignoring the safe word and using “excessive force” such as biting and physical violence.
The victim, who clutched a stuffed animal and spoke in a quiet voice during sentencing, detailed how “water torture” made her fear taking a shower and rain.
She told the court in her victim impact statement her “spirit” and “sense of self” was “irreparably broken” and she now obsessively checks locks to feel safe.
Wysolovski knew his victim was anorexic and she originally asked him to help control her eating, but he went on to use food as punishment by only feeding her if she agreed to perform sex acts, the court heard.
The victim was found malnourished, with ringworm and suffering from back issues due to being kept in a dog cage, her father said in a victim impact statement.
The FBI found the teen, who then turned 17, in Wysolovski’s home in June 2017.
In Georgia, the age of consent is 16, so he could not be charged with child molestation or any child sex abuse charges.
He was charged with child cruelty because it can be applied to anyone 17 and under, and he was charged with interstate interference with custody.
GREY AREA IN THE LAW
Wysolovski pleaded guilty because he caused “excessive physical pain during sexual intercourse”, officials said.
Prosecutor Michael DeTardo said the relationship between Wysolovski and the victim was a “grey area” because of the state’s age of consent and nature of the sex acts.
He added getting a rape conviction was not a guarantee if they took the case to trial.
The victim and the family didn’t want to go to trial either over concerns it would be too traumatising, they said.
The victim’s family and Mr DeTardo’s priority was to have Wysolovki register as a sex offender for life.
The monster’s attorney refused to accept any plea deal that included prison time, forcing prosecutors to accept a deal with time already served.
