Mrs Hinch, real name Sophie Hinchcliffe, regularly shares unusual cleaning tips with her fans. Some of her more interesting tips include using tumble dryer sheets to clean blinds and using a shower squeegee to clean the carpet but one of her fans has shared how to use a dishwasher tablet to clean the toilet.
Dishwasher tablets contain different chemicals that can soften hard water and tackle tough stains.
Other fans revealed that they also use dishwasher tablets to clean pots and pans.
You can remove stains from pots by pouring boiling water into them and leaving them to boil on the stove.
Next you can add a dishwasher tablet into the water and leave it to simmer for around an hour.
One commented: “You don’t need to empty old water out you could just pour a large pan of hot water in and that flushes out the old water, then use sachet and later pour more hot water to flush clean.”
However this fan also told others that the water needs to be hot to target the limescale, but not boiling as it could damage the toilet.
Mrs Hinch uses a foaming toilet cleaner by brand Dr. Beckmann when it comes to cleaning the bathrooms in her Essex home.
The cleaning sensation has explained that a foam quickly develops and rises which you then leave for around 20 minutes before flushing it away.
Sophie filmed herself using the magic cleaner and wrote: “Now to try these. Anyone else tried them yet? I’m slightly obsessed with the foam.”
Dr. Beckmann says that this toilet cleaner is: “A fast and convenient way to deep clean your toilet bowl whilst leaving behind an ultra-fresh fragrance.
“The innovative formula targets beneath the surface and develops a deep self-activating foam aiding the effective removal of tough stains, odours and limescale. Add hot water to your toilet before using the product to increase the activity of the foam.”
