Mum bags £238 worth of toys for £20 in the B&M sale – here’s how you can bag a bargain too

A SAVVY shopper has managed to save more than £200 on her Christmas shopping by bagging £240 worth of toys for £20 at B&M.

Mum-of-two Abi Murray, 25, picked up the bargains on Saturday in her local store in Whitegate Drive, Blackpool.

The discounter has slashed the price of toys in its two for £15 offer, which normally cost between £7.99 and £8.99 outside of the deal.

Abi, who’s mum to Kieran, nine, and Alexis, two, managed to pick up 17 of the gifts for £1 each, one for £3 and another for just 10p.

She paid just £20.10 in total for the haul, which should have cost £238.83 outside of the two for £15 sale, or £148 in the offer.

She posted a photo of her bargains on Facebook group, which included one of her trolley stacked high and another of the toys packed into the boot of her car.

A slime making set, toy guns and bracelet making kits were among the discounted goodies.

Abi told The Sun: “I was shocked to see that they were reduced by so much.

“I am planning to use them as Christmas presents for my two kids and my nieces and nephews.

“Any left over that aren’t used for my family will be used for gifts for children whose birthday parties my kids are invited to.”

We spoke to B&M to find out more about the deal and unfortunately you’re not guaranteed to find the same great deals in your local branch.

This is because the offers are part of a clearance sale that’s aimed at shifting stock to make way for new products.

Although it’s been rolled out to all 600 B&M branches in the UK, what’s left on shelves will vary from store to store.

Unsuccessful bargain hunters commented on Abi’s online post to share their disappointment at not being able to find the sale offers.

Laura Verrall commented: “None in my local B&M”, while Charlotte Cox said: “Ours didn’t have anything at all. But it did have all xmas stuff out.”

Tom Church, the brains behind, said you can still find plenty of bargains at the discounter even if you missed out on the sales this time around.

He said: “Download the B&M app and sign up for free. Then you can use the barcode checker found in the menu to scan items in store and check for discounts.

“This nifty tool will let you spot bargains if the price is reduced on the internal system even if it’s not been changed on the shelf yet.”

There’s also a clearance sale running on furniture, bedding and its garden range.

B&M doesn’t offer online shopping so you’ll have to go down to you nearest store to check out the deals. You can find your local branch here.

Eagle-eyed shoppers have already spotted B&M selling advent calendars including a LOL Surprise one.

Argos has also launched a clearance sale on baby and kids’ toys including Paw Patrol and VTech.
