Andrea Calland is at “rock bottom” due to the embarrassing condition which she says is so bad it stops her from going to social gatherings with friends.
The mum-of-one first went to her GP when the corner of one of her toenails began to lift.
Mrs Calland, 53, said a nail clipping was taken by her local GP and sent away for testing.
But the results from two tests both came back negative.
Mrs Calland was prescribed with cream and sent to see a dermatologist, where a biopsy was taken from under her nail.
But the biopsy results came back inconclusive.
Mrs Calland then watched in horror as all of her finger and toenails flaked and rotted away, one by one.
Doctors are baffled by her condition and have been unable to diagnose it.
Andrea, of Wavertree in Merseyside, claims she has been passed from “pillar to post” in the health system.
She said she has taken to treating her nails herself with a fungal nail treatment .
Andrea added: “I used to always look after myself.
“I was quite vain really about looks and would have Botox done.
“I did an NVQ in beauty and got a job in a beauty college but I was unable to take it because of all this.
