When did Tony Dinozzo leave NCIS?
Tony and Agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) met back in season three after Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander) had been killed and she was brought in as her replacement.
While it took some time to adjust following Kate’s tragic death, Tony and Ziva soon became very close.

In season 11, Ziva was hiding out in Israel after a terrorist group was threatening NCIS.
Tony found her but Ziva decided to stay in her homeland as she no longer wanted to work as an agent.
She made this life-changing decision after her father died and while Tony didn’t want to leave her, he flew back to America without Ziva by his side.
Three years later, the team was told she had been killed in a mortar attack.
Knowing now he was the sole parent of Tali, Tony knew he couldn’t keep working at NCIS.
He wanted to protect her and so decided to hand in his resignation in 2016.
Tony and Tali left hand in hand to start a new life in Paris where they remain to this day.
Little did they know though Ziva was still alive and eager to see them.
Ziva had pretended to be killed to protect Tony and Tali but needed to give Gibbs a warning so returned in season 17.
With encouragement from her former mentor, Ziva got in touch with Tony and the pair were desperate for her to join them in Paris.
While all three have not been seen together on the show, there is an occasional update from the family of three who are enjoying their new lives together without NCIS.
NCIS is available to watch on CBS.
