AT least one person was killed and eight injured after a devastating fire broke out last night at a hospital in Paris, authorities said.
The raging inferno at the Henri Mondor hospital in Creteil broke out late on Wednesday and was eventually brought under control in the early hours of this morning.

According to officials, the blaze ripped through a residential block at the medical facility while pictures from the scene show the flames spreading rapidly.
The cause of the fire is still not known.
Paris hospitals chief Martin Hirsch tweeted: “The fire in the residential block within the Henri Mondor hospital complex has now been brought under control thanks to the intervention of firefighters.
“We regret to say that there has been one death.”
