IT’S no secret that Piers Morgan isn’t Meghan Markle’s biggest fan, with the Good Morning Britain presenter having previously labelled the Duchess a “social climber”.
But now, Piers has compared the new mum to “a Kardashian” following the royal’s £2.4m taxpayer-funded refurb on Frogmore Cottage.
Speaking to LBC radio station, 54-year-old Piers said: “Maybe I’m wrong about her.
“Maybe we’ll be back here in 20 years and she’s turned out to be a fantastic member of the royal family, but there are a lot of worrying signs.
“Not least doing up their house, £2.5m cost to taxpayers.
“That’s the behaviour of a Kardashian, not a member of the Royal family. They’ve got to be careful.”

Piers also called Meghan a “piece of work” and slammed the Duchess for “dropping people”.
“I’m afraid I think she’s a piece of work, who drops people sooner than look at them if she gets somebody more important in her life. That’s my experience,” he said.
“I look at the way she treats her family, none of whom were at the wedding.
“Dumps her father. Dumps her first husband. Dumps everyone who is no longer of use to her. It’s not a good look.”

The presenter previously slammed 37-year-old Meghan for “ghosting him” before she met Prince Harry, explaining they had gone for a friendly drink the night before the Duke and Duchess’ first date.
He told The Mirror: “I was friendly with Meghan but she ghosted me. I am not impressed.
“There seems to be a pattern of her doing that to people, it’s a bit worrying.
“From my personal experience, she is someone I thought I was pretty matey with and ‘bang’, she met somebody more important and that was it, and told other members of her show who I was friendly with to stop talking to me.
“It is rather poor social climbing.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that Harry and Meghan’s Frogmore Cottage refurb has so far cost taxpayers a whopping £2.4m.
The couple’s new residence now boasts a designer kitchen — part of a taxpayer-funded refurb which will cost nearly £3million when all the costs are added.
Royal accounts show work on the couple’s home has so far cost the public far more than original estimates, sparking fury from campaigners.
Their five-bedroom property — a gift from the Queen — is said to have required a “substantial overhaul” before they were able to move in, including new heating, wiring and utilities.

However, officials said the couple did pay for their own “fixtures and fittings”.
The books for all the royals show the monarchy cost the taxpayer £82.2million last year.
