Police have to bribe intruder with McDonalds to come out of attic

He allegedly punched a hole in the roof before flinging tiles below into the garden below.

Homeowner Hayley O’Brien, 30, said: “It was disgusting. He broke into my house and the police ended up bringing him a McDonald’s.”

Armed police officers in Llanrumney, Cardiff, arrested him after a six-hour stand-off on Saturday.

Lucia Scaccia, who was staying next door, said: “He was asking for a McDonald’s. They left the meal at the top of the stairs and they planned to get him when he climbed down but he could see them.”

A 39-year-old was arrested in connection with affray and breaching a restraining order.
