Police are searching for a dog walker seen acting suspiciously after an 80-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death in his own home.
Desmond Wooding, who lived alone in Droitwich, Worcestershire, was found dead on Monday morning, having suffered stab wounds.
West Mercia Police have launched a murder enquiry and are particularly keen to speak to a man who was caught on CCTV walking a dog in the area where the attack took place.
One source close to the inquiry said: “He was seen acting suspiciously in and around the area where the attack took place, so we’re looking to try and identify him and speak to him.”
Mr Desmond was well-known and last seen alive early on Sunday evening, near to his house in Vines Lane, Droitwich, where he was regularly seen on his mobility scooter.
