Police launch urgent appeal to find schoolgirl who has not been seen in six days


POLICE have launched an urgent appeal to find a missing schoolgirl who needs regular medication.

Aalima Iqbal, 16, has been missing since Monday.

Officers have grown increasingly concerned for her welfare as the search enters its sixth day.

Aalima has been described as mixed race white/Asian, 5ft 5 in tall and has a medium build.

She wore her hair, which is dark brown, in a bun and was last seen wearing a dark Nike top, jeans with a flower on the pocket and yellow draw string.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for help to find a missing teenager in the Newchapel area.

“Aalima needs to take regular medication so we’re growing concerned for her welfare. 

“Anyone who has seen Aalima or has any information about her whereabouts should ring immediately.”
