The duo’s vehicles were parked at an airport when police rushed to the scene.
They were called after a call stated there was a strange packafe under the car of Suarez at El Prat airport.
A K-9 unit was dispatched to where the two footballers have their cars parked in the private plane parking section of the airport.
They were parked there while they were on holiday in Ibiza with their wives.
“It was a notice that we received and when they (the police) arrived they saw that it was false”
But both Suarez and Leo Messi’s cars were checked and confirmed to be “clean”.
A Catalan police spokesperson later confirmed it to be a false alarm.
They said: “It was a notice that we received and when they (the police) arrived they saw that it was false.”
“It was a false alarm and that’s it.”
The incident did not seem to bother Suarez or Messi too much as shortly after the fact the Uruguayan posted a picture on social media.
It shows him and Messi lying down on a yacht sunbathing and clearly still enjoying their holiday.
Luis Suarez is scheduled to go back to training camp with Barcelona on July 31.
Messi is scheduled to return to face Arsenal at the Camp Nou on August 4.
