IS there anything Primark can’t do?
Not only did the high-street giant open the world’s biggest store in Birmingham earlier this year, it’s now set to open a Central Perk Friends cafe – and yes, it will include THAT sofa.
We couldn’t be any more excited[/caption]
Teaming up with Warner Bros, Primark will open the cafe at its Manchester store on June 12, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the show.
And it sound like it’s going to be incredible, with a New York-inspired menu and the opportunity to get a photo on the infamous sofa.
Basically, we couldn’t BE any more excited.
The cafe will also use compostable cups and ethically sourced coffee beans as part of its Primark Cares initiative.
And when you’ve finished enjoying bagels, muffins – and obviously, coffee – there’s plenty of Friends merchandise to choose from too.
The high-street giant has been collaborating with Friends for months, introducing a Friends-themed homeware collection last year as well as £6 T-shirts inspired by the show last month.
They even released £4 make-up bags including a “we were on a break” design as well as a collection of pyjamas.
Primark’s Director of New Business Development, Tim Kelly said: “We are hugely excited to be bringing the first branded Central Perk Cafe in fashion retail in the UK to the British high street.
Customers can relax and have fun there whilst also enjoying our amazing fashion at amazing prices in our Manchester store.”
