The Queen showed her support for her son Prince Andrew as she rode next to him to attend Sunday morning church service in Balmoral.
Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew’s disgraced friend, was found dead in jail yesterday in an apparent suicide.
The 66-year-old financier was being held in Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York after being charged with conspiracy and sex trafficking dozens of underage girls in the early 2000s.
Mr Epstein was being held without bail after a judge agreed with prosecutors that he posed a danger to the community and risked fleeing the country.
He is believed to have taken his own life as he faced 45 years in prison accused of running a sex trafficking empire.
On Friday, documents relating to his case were unsealed, and included claims the Duke of York groped a woman’s breast and licked the feet of one of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex slaves during a visit to Mr Epstein’s apartment in 2001.
Paedophile billionaire Epstein’s former slave Virginia Roberts revealed the account in 2,000 pages of legal documents released hours before his death.
Johanna Sjoberg gave a sworn deposition that the Duke of York fondled her breast after she sat on his knee while the billionaire’s “sex slave” Virginia Giuffre sat alongside.
The Queen’s second son Prince Andrew is known to have been pals with Epstein, and has previously come under scrutiny over their friendship.
Documents filed include three alleged sexual encounters between Virginia and the Duke of York.
Andrew strenuously denies any sexual contact with Virginia, who says she was 17 at the time.
Virginia claims she first met the royal dad of two on a trip to London in 2001 when she was 17.
The sex slave said he then showed her his “terrible pelvic smashing” dance moves at the nightclub Tramp in London.
Virginia wrote: “Moving his hands across the curves of my body, he was whispering sweet nothings into my ear and kissing my neck.
“I would just giggle not really knowing how to reply to an ageing man with a bad smile.”
Virginia claims they then went back to Maxwell’s house, and she claims her and Prince Andrew had a bath.
“He was adorning my young body, particularly my feet, caressing my toes and licking my arches,” she wrote.
Virginia then claims they “retired to my bedchamber for the longest ten minutes of my life”.
She claims the second encounter was months later in New York.
And she added the third was on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.
An aide last night said Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were currently taking refuge at Balmoral after “facing some grim times”.
The Duke and Duchess of York arrived at Balmoral separately, with Sarah also staying in a separate lodge away from the rest of the Royal Family.
Andrew’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson, was also dragged into the controversy in 2015 when it emerged she accepted £15,000 from Mr Epstein five years earlier to help clear her debts.
Their eldest daughter Princess Beatrice is also at the estate, and was seen in the same car as the Queen and her father this morning to attend church.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “This relates to proceedings in the United States, to which the Duke of York is not a party.
“Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.
“It is emphatically denied that the Duke had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts.
“Any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation.”
