Prince Harry cancelled birthday party over concerns for Kate Middleton

Royal author and expert Omid Scobie has claimed Prince Harry is “happier than ever” on his 36th birthday and “doesn’t miss his old life at all”. Mr Scobie, who co-authored the controversial royal biography “Finding Freedom”, said the Duke of Sussex, who today turns the same age his mother Princess Diana was when she died, is “very content” with his marriage and family and “thriving” in his professional life. He told Vanity Fair: “This is the moment [Harry] can sit back and think, ‘I made it.’”

Meanwhile, royal commentator Ingrid Seward told the publication that the Duke of Sussex can celebrate his birthday “on a high”, adding: “He’s embracing his new life and everything is an adventure right now. He has moved on very quickly, and I don’t think he misses his old life at all.”

Having quit as a senior member of the Royal Family in March, he, wife Meghan and son Archie have relocated to California, where they live in a sprawling mansion in Santa Barbara.

Earlier this month, the couple signed a mega production deal with Netflix, announcing their intention to provide “hope and inspiration” with their upcoming documentaries, feature films and children’s programming.

It is not clear whether Harry’s relationship with his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, has improved since their relocation.

Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a photo of themselves laughing during a running race with the Prince on their Instagram account to celebrate his birthday.

However, according to some royal experts, their bond will never be the same.

In 2014, Kate even helped organise Prince Harry’s 30th birthday party at their newly refurbished apartment in Kensington Palace.

However, in the wake of the Duchess of Cambridge’s severe morning sickness, the thoughtful Prince reportedly contacted his guests and announced he felt it was “inappropriate” to carry on with the party.

The source added: “He [Harry] has promised his friends he will organise a post-30th birthday party when the time is right.”

Kate’s sickness, known officially as hyperemesis gravidarum, led to her being hospitalised when she was pregnant with Prince George.
