The former Westlife singer looked shocked as his name was called third, leaving Saara and Melody to battle it out for the final place.

Saara had found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard after the five couples had skated, while Melody finished third with the judges.

But after receiving the lowest votes from the public, the women had to skate again with their partners, and the judges decided to send XX home.

Earlier, Love Island hunk Wes had received the first 10s of the series for his routine to Bruno Mars track, Treasure while dressed as a pirate.

Host Holly Willoughby said to him: “You wanted that 10 so badly didn’t you?”

Wes replied: “Yeah I’ve worked so hard this week, my legs are literally in bits.

“I can’t even talk, we’ve put all the work in this week and it’s paid off.”

Wes was given 10s by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean
