Despite this, dozens of British customers have reported finding bargains.
One savvy shopper revealed the products she scooped up in the promotion.
Staggeringly, she managed to pick up 22 items for less than £25.
Chuffed with her haul, customer told the Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains Facebook group: “Sainsbury’s have a sale on their make-up.
“All prices are in the receipt but everything is mainly £1.50 or 50p.
“Check our your local Sainsbury’s.”
Following the tip off, others commenting about their own bargain buys.
One shopper said: “Picked up a few concealers and one foundation.”
Another wrote: “I got some just before Xmas.
