SHOPPERS have been going crazy for Asda’s unicorn ice cream.
The £2 tubs are made up of green candyfloss-flavoured and pink strawberry-flavoured ice cream.
On top of that, there’s pink and white marshmallow-flavoured sauces and the whole lot is topped with unicorn shaped sugar sprinkles.
Even better, Asda is now running a deal where you can get two 900ml pots for just £3 – saving 25 per cent.
The ice cream, which was first launched earlier this year, has proved massively popular with Asda shoppers.
A post on Asda’s Facebook page this week got over 4,600 likes and more than 1,000 people commented.
Most people said they love the ice cream.
Vicki Mooring said: “This ice cream is soooooo good and I love the colours of it to so bright, will definitely be buying again.”
While Gina Barbara added: “This ice cream is absolutely divine, bought to share with my daughter. She loves it. It’s very tasty.”
And Tracey Randall said: “It’s gorgeous, me n my grand daughter were eating it other day.”
But some commentators were complaining that they hadn’t been able to get their hands on any of the sweet stuff in their local Asda.
Jody Brooks said: “Been looking for it for months and starting to think its as unreal as a unicorn lol.”
And Dot Wallis added: “Did pop in our Asda for this a few times but sold out would be nice to try it try again this week.”
Fortunately, if you’re desperate to get a tub and your local shop is out of stock – the ice cream is available to buy online.
You can also get the Asda Galactic ice cream in the two for £3 offer.
Highly praised on Facebook, this version combines purple toffee-flavour and blue marshmallow-flavour ice cream with white marshmallow and purple toffee flavour sauce, topped with meringue pieces.
Before you get stuck into either it’s worth having a quick look at the nutritional information.
One-eighth of a tub of the galactic ice cream contains 22 per cent of an adult’s daily saturated fat allowance.
The unicorn-version comes in at an even more scary 23 per cent and contains 14g of sugars and 132 calories.
The galactic flavour comes in at 13g of sugars and 128 calories for an eighth of a tub.
