THE weather might have been disappointing but it was a sizzling May for The Sun as some 30million Brits logged on to our thesun.co.uk website.
And it was another month in which The Sun beat the Daily Mail and remained the country’s No 1 news site, with the latter some 2.3million behind.
It’s no wonder — with The Sun’s mix of news, showbiz and sport seeing it awarded the industry Oscar for best site at the British Press Awards earlier this year.
The new figures have been compiled by the audience measurement company Comscore. The numbers also show people like what they see, with our readers enjoying more articles than ever before.
We’re still the biggest newspaper in print, too, with a lead of more than 100,000 readers over the Mail in May. Our Sunday paper, The Sun on Sunday, is also confirmed as the biggest in the country, and the only one with a circulation of more than a million.
And it’s all thanks to you, our loyal readers. Enjoy the heatwave this weekend — The Sun is shining bright!
