Vanessa Cardenas, 18, plunged 1,300ft to her death as her loved ones watched on, on Sunday.

Her instructor – 34-year-old Mauricio Gutierrez Castillo – also died in the incident in Morelos, Mexico,

The director of Albatros Parachuting Jorge Gaitan has since insisted that one of the two victims were responsible for the fall.

Footage of the horror fall shows the moment one of the victims aimlessly fell through the sky.

The cameraman points the lens at a skydiver, whose parachute had successfully opened.

An object falling out of the sky takes his attention before he’s heard gasping from shock.

He quickly realises the falling object is a human.

As his camera follows the plummeting body towards the ground, he repeatedly says: “No, no, no, no.”

A second person can also be seen falling onto the ground.

Mauricio was an experienced skydive instructor and had more than 400 jumps under his belt.

The schoolgirl had arrived at the Albatross Air Sports Club with her loved one at around 3 pm.

She was said to be eager to celebrate her 18th birthday in style.

The pair boarded a plane before spending a couple of minutes soaring through the sky.

Moments later, the onlookers watched them both fall to their deaths.

The emergency services arrived at the scene around 3:43 pm and located the bodies near the Mexico-Acapulco highway.

Since then, the director of the firm has claimed the fall wasn’t an accident.

He added: ”We are investigating, but the parachute was working well.

“Everything seems to indicate that the release of the parachute was not an accident, because it was activated.

“It wasn’t equipment failure or anything like that.

“It surely had to do with someone who was on that flight, who manipulated and activated the release mechanism.

“That doesn’t end up happening by accident, it is caused by a human.

“We are in those investigations. We still do not know what happened.”

The skydiving company also said the parachute’s release was activated at an altitude where “it was impossible for the parachute to respond”.

Police are still carrying out investigations and the area remains cordoned off.

It’s not the first time someone has died during a skydiving fall.

A British man was killed during a horror fall accident at a popular Thai resort.
