Cops and medics from the London Ambulance and London Air Ambulance battled to save him.

But he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, Scotland Yard said this morning.

Details of the victim have not yet been released as officers continue to inform his next of kin.

A post-mortem and formal identification are due to be carried out – while a large police presence remains at the scene today.

KNIFE CRIME CRISIS

Cops have issued a Section 60 order for the area until at least this afternoon – allowing officers greater stop-and-search powers.

It’s the latest in a harrowing spate of bloodshed as London’s violent crime crisis continues to spiral out of control.

The total number of homicides in the capital this year has now risen to at least 59.

Earlier this month, London was left reeling after three suspected murders in 24 hours.

It included the deaths of two teenagers – who were killed just 12 minutes apart in separate gun and knife attacks.
