Tiger Woods has been rushed to hospital after being involved in a single-vehicle accident in Los Angeles, police said. The 45-year-old was extricated from the wreckage, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Woods’ agent has confirmed has suffered “multiple leg injuries” and is currently undergoing surgery.
An image from the crash site has been broadcast on LA TV and shows an SUV rolled on its side, deep into woodland.
The front windscreen of the vehicle appears to the smashed and front bumper of the car completely-ripped off.
Piers Morgan shared on image of the crash circulating on US network ACB on his Twitter feed.
He wrote: “Tiger Wood’s smashed-up car as shown on local LA TV.
“His agent says Tiger is now in surgery after suffering ‘multiple leg injuries’ in a single-car accident.
“Looks like it rolled over off the road and down into a ditch.”
