Around 60 activists from the movement – which has made headlines around the world with its nude stunts – staged the brief protest in Paris on Thursday.

Standing near the Palais-Royal, opposite the Louvre museum in Paris, the protestors exposed their breasts to “pay homage” to the 60 women “murdered” in France since the start of the year.

It came shortly after two members of the feminist group were fined for indecent behaviour.

In November 2018, several semi-naked Femen activists attacked US President Donald Trump’s motorcade during his visit to France.

The protestors were slamming what they called the “indifference of the French government”.

With the names of murdered women and the circumstances of their killings written on their bare chests, topless protestors lit pink smoke bombs and held up placards with slogans written on them.

Slogans included: “To murdered women, indifferent homeland!” and “Stop femicide”.

According to the latest French government statistics, nearly 220,000 women in France were the victims of domestic violence in 2017.

A shocking 130 were killed by their spouses or ex-partners.

The two women who attacked Trump’s motorcade were given conditional fines of €1,000 (£883).

Trump had been in Paris attending an event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.

It is the latest naked stunt carried out by Femen in recent years.

In February, topless feminist activists dressed as “Lady Justice” were chased by police in Paris.
