A HUGE brawl erupted between a young lad enjoying a heatwave dip and bouncers in shock footage filmed over the Easter weekend.
This video shows the moment when the man – who had taken an impromptu dip in the River Wear – appeared to be set upon by four bouncers.
Drinkers were outside the Boat Club, Durham, enjoying the weekend weather, when one young lad gets a bit carried away and – stripping to the waist – plunges into the nearby Wear.
After the swimmer climbs out and is about to put his boots on, a security man approaches. Something is said, and the swimmer takes up a somewhat aggressive stance.
The bouncer immediately responds with a punch and a fist fight erupts. The swimmer then ends up on the ground as other security men and his friends join in.
The first security guard continues to punch the swimmer until he is dragged away by his colleagues.
Alan Warnaby wrote under the viral Facebook post: “I took these lads home in a taxi hours after this happened and after a lot more drink.
“I have to say they were good as gold and good crack. It was a kid having fun with a group of his mates albeit getting egged on by them for a laugh but they weren’t out to cause and trouble.”
Phillip Robson added: “Bouncers are w******s full stop.”
Lady-Kat Pearce said: “Looks like the lad was going to try to grab the bouncer and holl [sic] him in the water as a joke.
“The bouncer reacted badly there. No need for that reaction from him at all. He could have walked away.”
Sonya Loughlin wrote: “Disgusting. How many was it on to one , bullies no other word.”
Sarah Firth posted: “Bouncers are nothing but b***ends – no need in it at all.”
