Melissa Holdcroft, 23, died in tragic circumstances while on holiday with her boyfriend in the Canaries.
In a chilling last Facebook post, she shared a picture of the beach at the Canary Island destination.
Now her family are hoping to raise £10,000 to bring her body back to the UK.
Her sister Zoe Holdcroft confirmed the Staffordshire hairdresser had suffered with mental health issues before going on holiday.
“I was so blessed to have a beautiful daughter like Melissa”
She said: “My beautiful little sister Melissa at the age of 23 has suffered with her mental health for a long time.
“After a holiday to Lanzarote she no longer thought her life was worth living and didn’t think she could be saved.
“She took her own life while she was on holiday.
“I want to raise enough funds to bring her body back home where she belongs.”
Dozens of donations have been made, with the appeal being shared more than 1,700 times.
Her heartbroken mum Sharron Pointon said: “I was so blessed to have a beautiful daughter like Melissa.
“She made me laugh, she made me cry, but she was always by my side when I needed her.
“I love you so much baby girl. Until we meet again sleep tight my beautiful angel.”
The family are being supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
