OFCOM has provisionally backed BBC’s plans to allow iPlayer users to watch their favourite shows for a whole year.

This follows proposals announced in January which aim to improve the value of the license fee for Brits.

Broadcasting rivals can now have their say on the TV watchdog’s decision and the final decision will be given in August.
