Two people were killed and at least six were injured in a spate of shootings in Brooklyn and the Bronx on Wednesday night.

Less than an hour later, a 23-year-old man was killed and five others injured when three gunmen opened fire into a crowd on Hawthorne Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens at about 10.23pm, police said.

A third shooting occurred at about 11.30pm in the Bronx neighborhood of Highbridge, where a 26-year-old man was shot in the head and hospitalized in critical condition.

The Stuyvesant Heights shooting victim was taken to King County Hospital, where he was declared dead from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Five people were taken to the same hospital following the Prospect Lefferts Gardens shooting – including four men and one woman.

Police said that shooting involved three suspects who opened fire from the sunroof of a white BMW Series 5 near Hawthorne Street and Nostrand Avenue.

Two men, 26 and 29, and the woman, 26, were struck in the leg, according to the New York Daily News, while a 27-year-old man was hit in the buttocks and 28-year-old man was grazed in the back.

The Bronx shooting also involved a drive-by, cops said. The 23-year-old victim was struck on Anderson Avenue near W 166th Street and was rushed to Lincoln Hospital.

No arrests have been made as of early Thursday morning.

The back-to-back shootings come as New York City continues to weather a devastating surge in gun violence and murders.
