UFC star Brian Ortega has shaved off his long hair ahead of his headline fight against Chan Sung Jung on Fight Island.
The 29-year-old American has gone completely bald and donated his hair to a children’s chemotherapy charity.
The featherweight will enter the octagon for the first time feeling a lot lighter as he squares up against the ‘Korean Zombie’ without his luscious locks.

Ortega revealed the motivation behind his drastic hair cut and explained why he is donating it to children in need.
He told UFC Arabia: ‘We have a camera and we documented the whole weight cut, showing how smooth it was going and everything, so people on the internet just like to say negative things right off the bat.
‘I was already gonna cut my hair after this fight. I was gonna have it a little bit slicked back not shaved.
‘But when I was cutting weight, I was talking to them, I was like listen, there’s people out there who are suffering daily versus just one day right now.
Ortega revealed that he decided to go for the full shave after taking to sufferers of chemo
‘For me, weight cut, we suffer one or two days then we’re good and we’re back to normal. There’s people out there who have to lose their hair not by choice and to go through a lot of things and to me kids.
‘Obviously I love kids so I’m donating my hair to the kids who need it.’
Ortega and Jan Sung have been at each other’s throats now for some time and will settle their differences on Saturday night.
In rather strange circumstances, Ortega slapped Korean rapper Jay Park. Park has worked with Chan Sung Jung as his translator in the past and worked an ESPN interview with his compatriot.

Ortega was escorted from UFC 248 after attacking the rapper.
Jung wrote afterwards: ‘For two hours nothing happened, so I thought everything was fine. But you f****** attacked Jay Park while I went to the bathroom. Jay Park is not a professional fighter but a musician. You slapped a civilian who merely helped translate.
‘Even worse, you were sitting there waiting until I would be absent and attacked Jay Park. It was not a fight like real men would do. What you have done is same as a grown up to beat a child. You should have attacked me. If so, I would have not been upset. You are such a coward for slapping a musician not a fighter.’
Ortega apologised, tweeting: ‘I want to officially apologize to JPark for Saturday night, when Zombie is ready we can fight.’
