UK’s biggest breakfast challenge called Terminator III has a huge 135 items

The mighty meal has 135 items – 15 portions of everything you’d normally find in an English breakfast – including sausages, eggs, bacon, hash browns, black pudding, toast and mushrooms.

Named the Terminator III, it weighs a stone and has only been scoffed once in the allotted one-hour time limit.

Anyone who clears their plate wins free breakfasts for a year.

But one contestant, William Lailey, 29, from Reading, Berks, failed to get through even a third of the 12,719-calorie meal.

He said: “I was immediately intimidated by the size of the plate, already beaten before I had eaten a bite. I hadn’t eaten all morning, so I thought that I would be able to get through at least half of it.

“I started with a simple egg sandwich, and it all went downhill from there.

“The breakfast is enormous, I’m not sure anyone could finish it. But for £20 and the chance of a year’s supply of free breakfasts, it was worth a shot. It’s totally unforgiving – the most formidable meal I have ever had the misfortune of poking my fork into.”

William added of trying to scoff the jumbo breakfast: “Just looking at it was enough for me. I tried to be tactical about it but there are no tactics involved. It’s just a case of how fast you can shove it in your mouth.

“The black pudding was what really finished me off. I had one bite of it after about 10 sausages and couldn’t go on.”

You can tackle the big breakfast for yourself at Shepherd’s Place Farm in Nottinghamshire.
