WE’RE Kyn the money at Doncaster.
KYNREN can take a more open running of the Lincoln than the betting might suggest.
He ran well in a succession of big handicaps last season, finishing the campaign less than two lengths off the pace in the Balmoral at Ascot.
He’s down the weights since then and should run a big race.
Ripp Orf is another regular in the frame for races like this. He landed two big wins at the Queen’s track last term and will be right there again.
The bookies have latched on to Auxerre after his efforts on the all-weather. This is a big hike in class but he’s clearly going places.
Humbert is another to watch on this debut for David O’Meara.
ANOTHER BATT 2/5
Batt’s flat. Best form has come over 7f and out of sorts in Dubai this spring. Looks too high in the weights despite rider’s 5lb claim.
SAFE VOYAGE 2/5
Not a Safe bet. Good 7f performer who won a big race at Galway last summer before a poor run over this trip at Ascot in October. Will like the ground but needs to find more.
MASHAM STAR 2/5
Star needs to shine. Italian Group 3 winner over this trip in the mud and fair run at Wolverhampton last time. Trip suits and yard in form but needs major improvement for this.
Aquarium’s leaky. Inconsistent type who was struggling off this mark last season and was held in lesser race on AW latest. Hard to fancy despite coming from top yard.
Yan can place. Carries 5lb penalty for battling win at Wolver last time and this trip suits well. Has top pilot on board and has run well here before. Each-way shout.
Xerre we go. Landed hat-trick at Kempton last time and bred to be classy. Open to improvement and major player despite short price.
Salt of earth. Rare Irish runner in this and won decent Curragh handicap off similar mark last season. Struggled in hot races since then but could bounce back for new trainer.
SOUTH SEAS 3/5
Seas rising. Almost three years since last win but showed some promise in big handicaps last season and is down weights. Making debut for new yard and could take a step forward here.
SILVER QUARTZ 2/5
Tarnished Silver. Landed decent handicap over this trip at Ascot in September but not matched that since, including when well beaten at Wolver last time. Looks high in weights.
Battle for Waar. Regular handicap winner but in slightly lesser grades than this. Good second off this mark at York on October and fair run at Ascot last time in October. Goes on any ground.
Chief suspect. Struggled in a couple of Listed races this spring after winning a Kempton handicap over this trip. Is 10lb higher in the weights since so needs a step forward but prefers this trip.
Stale Bred. Consistent in lesser races and good second at Wolverhampton last time. Likes this trip but needs to improve and not many nine-year-olds do that.
Chat’s all talk. Last seen finishing last over hurdles but has some fair Flat form including when second at Newmarket in October. On fair weight but longer trip would suit.
LATEST IN HORSE RACING
RIPP ORF 4/5
Let Ripp. Won two big-field Ascot handicaps last season and was on wrong side of the track here last time. Trip suits and he’ll play his hand late. Big chance if getting luck in running.
Kyn the bag. Ran well without winning last season and likes a big field. Hit the post in similar races to this and handicapped to go very close over an ideal trip.
Wahash your hands of him. Didn’t fire last season and looked rusty on comeback last time at Wolver. Looks high in weights and others preferred.
Not Ray’s day. Was a good two-year-old but has had training problems since. Showed little last season and didn’t see out this trip last time.
Hum’s a big noise. Best form has come over this trip and won off similar mark at Newcastle in June. Lightly raced since and making debut for David O’Meara who has track record of improving horses.
THIRD TIME LUCKY 3/5
Lucky dip. Fit from decent third at Wolverhampton last time and likes this trip. Best form has come with some cut in ground but stepping up in class here.
VENTURA KNIGHT 3/5
Knight on charge. Saves best for this trip and goes on any ground. Won on his last visit here in a lesser race and could outrun big odds for in-form trainer.
GREAT PROSPECTOR 3/5
Great must wait. Hasn’t won since his debut in 2017 but has performed with credit in Listed races and will like the fast pace on here. Asking a lot for him to break his duck today but could run better than his price.
Ber with him. Won a couple of minor handicaps last season but best form has come over further and he may need this comeback.
