Veronica Falcon stars in USA Network’s Queen of the South which follows the uphill battle of Teresa Mendoza (played by Alice Braga) as she sets up her own drug empire. Along the way, Falcon’s character Camila Vargas has acted both as a mentor and a nemesis. The rivalry grew to new heights though in the epic season two finale.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Queen of the South.
Teresa had proven again that she was a threat to the Vargas Cartel, making both Camila and husband Don Epifanio (Joaquim de Almeida) feel uneasy.
To get the money which the cartel had owed her, Teresa arranged for them to have a meeting on neutral ground but Don Epifanio wanted her dead.
So he took the first shot at Teresa and said he wasn’t going to back down until she was killed.
To protect herself, Teresa ended up killing Don Epifanio in front of Camila and their daughter Isabela Vargas (Idalia Valles).
The family was left devastated by the loss and Teresa quickly fled with her money.
