Virgin Media broadband price drop – These new deal can slash money off your bill

Virgin Media might be about to put up prices but there’s currently some good deals that could actually save money off your broadband bill.

The firm has just announced a range of savings which slash the cost of superfast internet by up to £84.

There’s a number of offers available including £7 off Virgin’s M50 bundle or £7 off the M200 option.

You can even cut the price of the fastest M350 bundle to £45 per month.

Here are all the best deals and what speeds you’ll get.

Virgin M50 • Now £30 per month – saving £7 – includes average download speeds of 54Mbps

Virgin M100 • Now £35 per month – saving £7 – includes average download speeds of 108Mbps

Virgin M200 • Now £40 per month – saving £7 – includes average download speeds of 213Mbps

Virgin M350 • Now £35 per month – saving £7 – includes average download speeds of 362Mbps

It’s worth noting that all of these offers are for new customers only and require an upfront fee of £35.

If you want more than just broadband then there’s more good news.

Virgin has also cut the cost of its Bigger Bundle which now costs £49 per rather than the usual £57.

This package includes over 230 channels and broadband speeds of 108Mbps.

Finally, there are some decent offers from Virgin Mobile who is offering the Xperia 10 for £20 per month and those who sign up will also get a free PS4 console.

This Fortnite Neo Versa PS4 bundle also comes with a sleek Jet Black PS4 console, two matching DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controllers, and a code to redeem exclusive Fortnite content – including the Epic Neo Versa outfit, Epic New Phrenzy Back Bling and 2,000 V-bucks.

And there’s a 12 month PlayStation Plus Subscription, worth £49.99, giving customers access to PS4 online gaming, PS4 games to download and play each month and exclusive discounts.

Along with that contract deal, there are also some good discounts on SIM-only plans including 2GB of data for £7, 6GB of data for £9 and 25GB of £15.

Although these deals are good, it comes at a time that some users are facing higher prices.

Virgin Media announced back in July that costs would be increasing and now it seems customers know exactly how much more they will pay with the firm beginning to send out emails revealing the full extent of the hike.

The message from Virgin has been arriving in inboxes with it stating that from October 1 prices will be going up.

The email reads, “Dear Customer, we know a price rise is never welcome news, but to allow us to continue investing now and in the future, your monthly price will go up by £3.50 from your October bill.

“And because we never stand still, you can be sure we’ll always work to bring you the UK’s fastest widely available average broadband speeds and more.”

It’s worth noting that not all customers will be hit by the same increase with Virgin saying that the average hike will be around £3.30 per month – although some users could see things increase by as much as £4.50.

Justifying the hike, Virgin said in a statement: “Changing prices is not a decision we take lightly. We invest more than £1billion a year in our network and services to keep giving our customers great value.”
