DAVID LUIZ appeared to elbow Gonzalo Higuain in Chelsea training just moment before Maurizio Sarri’s furious exit.
The Chelsea boss threw his cap to the ground, picked it back up, walked off and tossed it away again on Tuesday.
This all came just hours before he takes his side into battle against Arsenal in the Europa League final.
A Chelsea spokesperson later claimed Sarri’s walkout was due to the presence of the media.
He had assumed the players would be able to practice set pieces — and indeed penalties — for the last 15 minutes of training ahead of their showpiece clash with Arsenal.
But with journalists and cameramen at close hand, Sarri was not able to prepare any surprise set plays.
However on first viewing, Sarri appears to be angry at the confrontation between Luiz and Higuain, and from this newly-released clip you can see why he might be.
Higuain tries to get the ball first time from Luiz, but fails.
He then goes back in again, and the Brazilian defender looks as though he thrusts an elbow at his team-mate.
Understandably Higuain reacts and has words with Luiz. Then just seconds later Sarri was seen blowing his top and storming off.
Chelsea travelled out to Baku after Arsenal, having completed a training session in Cobham on Monday.
