Sizzling heat will make way for freezing temperatures that will unleash the white stuff after spring officially begins.

Daily Star Online has seen new weather forecast maps that reveal exactly where snow is set to fall on many parts of the UK – including London.

The wintry showers are already set to cover parts of Scotland this week – but next weekend a big snow cloud will hit England and Wales.

WXCharts maps show a band of snow will sweep Britain from the west next weekend and deliver a blanket of the white stuff.

It looks set to push in during the early hours of Sunday, March 10 and hit Wales, the west, south-west, north-west and south England.

The snow will fall on the likes of Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Plymouth, Reading and London, according to WXCharts.

“Put your winter coat back on”

NetWeather forecast

The shock flurries of snow will come after temperatures plummet to single-figures in the day and sub-zero at night, NetWeather states.

Next week will “feel like” -3C in parts of England as the cold weather moves in – following this weekend’s forecasted washout.

NetWeather’s forecast for next week warns: “Next week looks colder everywhere with rain, sleet and hill snow. Put your winter coat back on.”

Meanwhile the Met Office’s forecast for next week reads: “Sunny spells and blustery showers are likely on Tuesday.

“Showers could be locally heavy with hail and thunder, and snow over northern hills. The best of any drier weather will probably be in the east.

“Spells of wet and windy weather are likely to continue through the rest of the week, interspersed with some drier, brighter periods.

“Further strong winds and gales are likely in exposed areas, particularly in the northwest.”
