WEST HAM fans have called on the club’s board to sign Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic if the Cottagers are relegated from the Premier League this season.
Despite Fulham’s woes, the Serbia international is having a great season as he has scored 10 goals in the current campaign.
Mitrovic joined Fulham just 12 months ago after his loan spell – during which he scored 12 goals, helping the Cottagers secure their Premier League promotion – was made permanent in the summer.
But the 24-year-old striker is unlikely to stay at Craven Cottage if Fulham fail to avoid relegation, which is looming larger over Claudio Ranieri’s men.
The Cottagers, who lost 2-1 to West Ham on Friday night, are now eight points away from safety with 11 games left this season.
And even though Mitrovic failed to get on the scoresheet at London Stadium, it did not put the Hammers’ fans off.

But apparently, nor did his Yoga fight with team-mate Aboubakar Kamara.
And West Ham supporters called on the club’s board after Friday’s clash to sign the striker fearing that Marko Arnautovic – who tried to force through a winter move to China – could cause troubles again.
Terry Davis wrote on Twitter: “Honestly think we should try and get Mitrovic in summer, he’s done well at a poor team, think he could be really good for us!”
While Barry Walker added: “Also would take Mitrovic in the summer depending on who else is available! He is so strong and holds the ball up so well, in a team with better quality attacking players behind him he would do really well!”
And Will Earle wrote: “We have to do all we can to sign Mitrovic in the summer to replace Arnie if we can, his hold up play is class, caused us a lot of problems.”
Mitrovic’s contract with Fulham expires in June 2023 meaning the Cottagers could ask for a hefty price if they were to part ways with their star.
