What’s the Notting Hill Carnival weather forecast? Updates for the August bank holiday weekend


EUROPE’S largest street party is set to turn West London into a sea of colour this weekend.

Tens of thousands of people will line the streets to take part in the Notting Hill Carnival — but will it rain on their parade? Here’s the latest forecast.

What is the weather forecast during the Notting Hill Carnival?

Notting Hill Carnival takes place on Sunday 25 August and Monday 26 August in West London.

It is still too early to predict what the weather will for that weekend, but early forecasts suggest it will be sunny.

Temperatures appear to be in the low 20s.

The mercury looks like it would range from 16C to 21C.

But as with British weather, this can change overnight so be sure to check back for the latest forecast.

When is Notting Hill Carnival 2019 Family Day?

“Family day” at Notting Hill Carnival will take place on Sunday 25 August this year.

The family-friendly event is set-up to accommodate and encourage children to let loose and have fun.

Age-appropriate music will take centre-stage and kids will be able to enjoy the festivities in relative safety.

Europe’s largest street carnival is an annual event which has taken place in the Notting Hill area of West London every year since 1966.

The Carnival features a parade and live music, including reggae, dub and salsa.

There are also 37 static sound systems, soca floats, steel bands and Caribbean food.
