EX ON THE BEACH is set to make an explosive return to the small screen after MTV after the last series was pulled following the death of Love Island’s Mike Thalassitis.
The Sun has exclusively revealed the reality show will be making a comeback, despite the last season being axed. Here’s everything we know so far…
When will Ex On The Beach 2019 start?
MTV producers are yet to confirm the start date of the latest series of the hit reality show, however, the US version is currently airing in the United States of America.
Nevertheless, a TV insider has revealed the programme, which was cancelled following Mike Thalassitis’ passing, will be back on television.
An inside source told The Sun: “It looked like the show might have been over for good when it didn’t come back, but that isn’t the case.
“Bosses still believe in the format and they’re going to try to learn the same lessons as Love Island. They definitely don’t feel it’s over yet, even though some fans might question the decision.”
Who is set to join the line up of Ex On The Beach?
On August 6, 2019, The Sun exclusively revealed that Georgia Steel and Lateysha Grace had signed up for the 11th and latest series of the show.
A TV insider told The Sun Online: “Ex On The Beach bosses know Georgia and Lateysha are guaranteed to bring drama to the latest series with their no-nonsense attitude. They definitely won’t hold back.”
After a dramatic year in her personal life, Love Island star Georgia is looking for a fresh start since falling for a fraudster.
It’s been rocky for the starlet since leaving the famous villa after she claimed her ex stole her money and left her fearing for her life.
Meanwhile, Lateysha – who first came to fame on The Valleys – has also faced some flack after being forced to defend herself against “jealous” mums who claimed she was exploiting her toddler daughter by forcing her to model.
What did MTV/Ex On The Beach say after Mike Thalassitis’ death?
In March, 2019 channel bosses released a statement, explaining season ten of Ex On The Beach would not go ahead as planned, following the death of the former Love Island star.
The statement read: “We were very sad to hear the tragic news and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
“Last year, Mike took part in filming for the next series of Ex on the Beach, which was due to air on MTV later in the year.
“In light of the news of Mike’s death, we have decided not to broadcast the planned 10th season of the show.”
