POPULAR Channel 4 show First Dates has been helping singletons find love for many years now.
But is the London restaurant that features in the show real? Here is the lowdown…

You’ll be pleased to know that the venue is very real and, yes, you can dine there.
The show is filmed at the very swanky Paternoster Chop House in central London, next to St Paul’s Cathedral at 1 Warwick Court, Paternoster Square.
Starters are between £6 and £11, while mains are about £17 to £35.
When the restaurant isn’t shut for filming you can book in to recreate your own awkward First Date if you wish.
Will Fred Sirieix be at the restaurant?
Unfortunately, you’ll only find Fred there when they’re filming – but it’s not all bad.
You can hunt him down in Mayfair where he’s the general manager of the extremely plush Galvin at Windows, a Michelin-starred restaurant on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane.
The 44-year-old father-of-two has become the nation’s Gallic answer to Cilla Black with his advice on love, lust and broken hearts.
Are the staff in the First Dates restaurant real?
Most of them are but if you want to meet the whole gang you will need to actually go on First Dates.
Blonde waitress CiCi Coleman is an actress who was trained in New York.
Barman Merlin Griffiths is a mixologist and landlord of a pub and bar, and Sam Conrad is a waiter.
Waitress Laura Tott is in the Royal Navy and Austin Ventour is a model/actor and dancer.
Is the restaurant expensive?
Paternoster Chop House would be deemed as a restaurant fans can visit every now and then – depending on how much money they’re willing to spend for a meal.
A Chop House burger, which consists of a brioche bun, cheese, bacon, pickle and onion rings will set you back a whopping £18.
And that would be one of the cheapest meals you can order off the restaurant’s menu.
Starters range from pea and smoked ham soup (£7) to Hand-raised pork pie (£11) while a more fancier option would be the Colchester crab with a price tag of £14.
Vegan and vegetarians can scoop up a Grilled Calcot for £18 or settle for Herb dumplings filled with fresh cheese, violet artichokes and peas for £20.
If all of that sounds a little too much, you could even make a quick stop for some dessert, with a starting range from £7 for the likes of a sticky toffee pudding and carrot cake, among other treats.

What’s on the menu?
Paternoster Chop House offers a delicious menu that is sure to appeal to a wide market of fans and local customers.
The restaurant offers cooked over charcoal beef “from rare breeds that require a much longer time to mature; it is this slow growing nature that gives the meat its flavour.”
If that isn’t impressive enough, Paternoster Chop House also provides customers with the chance to try their 5-course lamb tasting menu, which is sure to be just as tasty.
Starters and snacks make up for a good part of the menu while salads and sauces finish the impressive list offered by the eatery.
