BETH CHAPMAN, the wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter, died age 51 following a long battle with cancer.
She had difficulties breathing prior to her death and was placed in a medically-induced coma. Here’s all you need to know about the late star.
When did Dog the Bounty Hunter’s wife Beth Chapman die?
Beth’s death was confirmed by her husband Duane (Dog the Bounty Hunter), who announced her passing on Twitter.
He wrote on June 26, 2019: “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain.
“Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”
Before the news of her death broke Hawaii News Now reported that the 51-year-old was placed in a coma by staff at Queen’s Medical Centre in Hawaii.
TMZ then claimed Beth – real name Alice Elizabeth – was “not expected to recover” and sources reported that the family were “preparing for the worst”.
However, Dog seemed to slam the report by tweeting: “90% of what you’re hearing is fake news. I don’t mean to be nasty but some are filling in the blanks. @wgnamerica will be releasing an accurate update soon. Please keep prayers coming!”
Beth was diagnosed with stage two throat cancer in early 2017 and a special programme was made for A&E Network.
It focused around her battle called Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives which aired on November 27 in 2017.
It included the 13-hour surgery Beth underwent to remove a stage two tumour and the aftermath.
Beth was rushed to hospital on November 27, 2018, to remove a life-threatening blockage in her throat.
The couple returned home to Colorado for Beth’s recovery.
In mid December, 2018, the reality TV star asked fans to “pray” for his wife after revealing her “incurable” throat cancer had spread to her lungs.
Chapman says wife Beth is “not doing good” but he’s determined to “keep everything positive”.
In an interview with InTouch Weekly at the time, Duane said: “I have to keep faith, I am the leader of the family.”
Then on June 23, Dog took to Twitter and asked his fans: “Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you”.
