JOANNA Chimonides is a stunning brunette who has joined five other newcomers in the Love Island villa.
She previously dated Leicester City FC star Ben Chilwell, but what else should you know about her?
Who is Joanna Chimonides?
Joanna is a social media influencer and model from London.
She graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Leicester in July, 2018.
Before finishing her education, however, Joanna began a relationship with footballer Ben Chilwell in July 2017.
Despite his skyrocketing career at the time, Ben never struggled to see his lover as Joanna’s university was just five minutes away from the King Power Stadium where he trained.
Apparently, it was Ben who decided to end the relationship saying he wanted to remain single for the time being.
The two remained good friends up until last month when Joanna was rumoured to be joining the current series of Love Island.
While it’s unclear whether she will take part or not, what’s apparent is that Ben was not happy to hear that LI producers had reportedly approached the brunette to find love on the dating show.
A source told The Sun: “Ben has been left furious by her going on the show even though he dumped her at the end of last summer because he wanted to be single.
“They had stayed good friends until a month ago when she told him she was going on Love Island. She thought Ben was partying too much and he thought she was the right person at the wrong time.”
Apparently, this isn’t the first time that Joanna has been approached to join the cast line-up.
The source concluded saying that she “had been approached by Love Island bosses when she was still with Ben and turned it down,” but given that she’s single now, nothing would be holding her back, right?
