LOVE Island bosses have snapped up Tyson Fury’s brother for the 2019 series – meet Tommy Fury.
The boxer from Manchester will be packing his bags and jetting to the Mallorcan villa to meet the girl of his dreams. Here’s everything you need to know about the 20-year-old.
Who is Love Islander Tommy Fury?
Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy Fury describes himself as an “honest, charismatic and charming” guy and will go “to the moon and back” to get the girl of his dreams in Love Island 2019.
He says being too confident can sometimes be his downfall, along with being too talkative and a bit lazy.
The “solid eight” out of 10 as he describes himself wants to mingle with everyone and says a bromance isn’t off the cards.
But fellow Islander’s won’t want to rile the boxer up the wrong way.
When asked by ITV producers what his definition of the bro code is, the Love Islander said: “If I’m not with a girl anymore, a guy should come and speak to me, sit me down and say ‘Listen, I like her. Would you be alright with’ .”
However, the islander said he’s not going to ruin anyone else’s journey.
He said: “Obviously I wouldn’t have a problem as I’m not with the girl. If the girl is all for it as well, then it’s not a problem. It’s a free world and if a girl has a connection with another guy and she is better with him than with me then spot on.”
Tommy says he’s going to pursue the girl he has a connection with “without being an idiot to the other islanders.”
What is Tommy Fury’s type on paper?
Looks-wise Tommy is looking for a gym-goer with blonde hair, blue eyes and a good tan in Love Island 2019.
But it’ll take more than that to please the singleton.
A girl being too big-headed is a no-no for Tommy.
He likes women that are confident but also a bit shy.
When asked who his celebrity crush is by Love Island producer, he said it was Ariana Grande. “That girl is fire.”
What is Tommy Fury’s claim to fame?
Tommy Fury is the brother of heavyweight boxer, Tyson Fury.
But the Islander says he’s his own man and doesn’t want to be labelled as Tyson Fury’s little brother.
He said: “I’m my own man and I’m doing the best that I can do in life and that’s all I’m setting out to achieve.”
What’s changed in Love Island for 2019?
Love Island bosses are plotting some major shakeups for the 2019 show.
They are reportedly scrapping rival villa Casa Amor, which sparked explosive scenes for two years on the show.
Instead, this year ITV2 bosses want to keep new islanders on their toes and they also want viewers to expect the unexpected, which involves creating all-new challenges for contestants.
The Love Island cast are also set to see their pay increase.According to reports to “compensate” for giving up time to be on the show, ITV bosses have agreed to pay the islanders £250 a week. That’s £50 a week more than 2018, who accepted £200 a week to cover their bills, rent and utilities while appearing on the show.
Like 2018, the show is likely to last eight weeks meaning the grand final could be around July 29, 2019.
Who will be this year’s winning couple? Stay tuned!
