Natalie Cockerill, who owns Cockerill Properties with her husband Mark, has been leasing out a flat in Bridlington to Twidale.
‘DONE A RUNNER’
Twidale lived there with one of her four children and seemed to be a reliable tenant until Cockerill discovered she had seemingly vacated the residence last week.
The 50-year-old property owner told Hull Live: “A tenant came home in the early hours of last Saturday morning to see police outside the property.
“Police were there because they were concerned about Dana as nobody had heard from her for almost a week.
“They were going there to check on her for her own safety but someone had already forced open my front door and flat door with a crowbar and hammer.”
It looks like she’s left in a hurry and done a runner
Natalie Cockerill, landlord
When Cockerill managed to get into the property she saw the dire state of the premises.
She added: “It looks like she has just packed her bags and left. It looks like she’s left in a hurry and done a runner.”
She has since pinned a public notice onto the property’s door stating how she has abandoned her flat, reported Hull Live.
The notice reads: “As landlords we had no idea that Dana was a callous sociopath and ‘highly accomplished con artist’. She only moved in May 1.
“Our sympathy goes out to all the couples and recently bereaved she heartlessly took advantage of. We sincerely hope she is caught by the police and imprisoned for her actions.”
Cockerill said she saw mould in the property, and had to throw a lot of things away before leaving it boarded up.

‘I JUST FEEL USED’
She has been slammed by her husband who wants her “fed to the wolves”.
The 42-year-old, who ran her own wedding and event hire business in Hull, has also been accused of fleecing her ex Nigel Wainwright out of £10,000.
Now her devastated husband Carl Twidale, who has been separated from his wife for the past two years, has slammed her after he faced threats from angry brides.
He told Hull Daily Mail: “It was numbing to read about all the scams and I can’t believe she has done this.
“There are no words. She is just wicked and it’s twisted – you can’t do the things she has done. It’s one thing scamming people but preying on their vulnerabilities is just wrong.
“I’ve started to question now if I ever really knew who she was. She was my wife but I just don’t know her anymore.”
This was the first time I’ve ever really cared about somebody in that way and I just feel used
Carl Twidale, husband
Carl said the alleged fraud was revealed ten days ago when ex Nigel contacted him claiming to have been scammed out of £10,000 by Twidale.
He said he met her on Tinder while grieving for his late father but was duped into handing over cash after she claimed she needed to leave her violent ex-boyfriend.
Caring Nigel also shelled out for her mum’s funeral – but later discovered she was still alive.
He said: “I thought this was it for me and she was saying all the right things but none of it was true.
“She said she cared for me and my mum and wanted to be in my life but now I just want my money back and I want to move on because she broke me.
“This was the first time I’ve ever really cared about somebody in that way and I just feel used. Everything was a lie and I’m just gutted.”
‘NONE OF IT WAS TRUE’
It has since emerged multiple people have accused Twidale of conning them while planning their dream wedding.
Sam Devine, 32, brought her big day forward to next year so her terminally ill mum could see her marry her fiancé Phil Leach.
She found Twidale’s business on Facebook and paid out more than £500 to cover the cost of decorations and £100 to cover the deposit for the hire of a marquee.
But Sam, who has contacted the police, later found posts and comments from others accusing Twidale of scamming them – and has been unable to get in touch with her since.

She said: “I felt upset, shocked and just absolutely gutted. I just couldn’t believe somebody could prey on someone’s weakness like that.
“I even said to her that I thought she was my guardian angel and it turns out that all along she was doing this.”
