A WOMAN has shamed a bride’s stripy yellow dress, which has been compared to a “pick n mix” bag.

The image quickly became a talking point among group members, receiving over 300 comments.

Many were quick to point out that the bride’s dream gown was in fact a prom dress costing $418 (£323).

The ‘Clarisse’ dress is described as “a delightful style that will fascinate the crowd. Charming and playful, this whimsical style features a strapless sweetheart neckline and a line silhouette.”

However, other members of the group didn’t seem to agree, giving the unusual bridal attire to a variety of unflattering comparisons.

One commented: “It’s a theme wedding and she’s going as an awning, right?”

Facebook users identified it as a prom dress and compared it to a ‘beach towel’ and a bag of ‘pick ‘n mix’

“Looks like pick and mix bags” said another, with a third adding “I have a beach towel with this print tbh.”

Another said: “I was gonna say this reminded me of the changing tent in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”

However, there were a few who were big fans of the quirky design, though they admitted they probably wouldn’t be brave enough to wear it on their own big day.

“It’s beautiful but not for a wedding” wrote one, with another adding “I actually love it, but it wouldn’t be my wedding dress.”

Many said that while they like the dress they thought it was inappropriate for a bridal gown

Agreeing another said: “The fabric seems good and the cut is flattering. However, I can’t get “beach chair” out of my mind when I see this!”

Defending the bride a fourth added: “That’s actually a really nice dress. Not really for a wedding, but it’s her wedding not mine, so as long as she’s happy it’s cool. But that dress looks great on her.”

The Facebook group is the largest of the wedding shaming variety boasting over 54,000 members worldwide.

You can critique dresses, decorations and of course, dramatic brides who are kindly dubbed “bridezillas”.

There’s even categories for your posts where you can file your rant under popular tags such as “cringe”, “tacky family” and “f***ing yikes”.

In other wedding news a guest has shamed a “trashy” bride who has her wedding pictures taken on the toilet.

And an “attention-seeking” wedding guest has been slammed for wearing a white gown to her friend’s big day.
