World War 3 fears: India retaliates following border clash with new China ban

0

This follows the recent border clash between the two countries, which left both sides with unfortunate fatalities. India’s ministry of information technology has said the apps in question are “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of state and public order”. The country has reported that it’s received complaints regarding data security and the potential hazard to privacy while using the apps.

Amongst the banned apps are; Shein, UC Browser, Youcam makeup, UC News, WeSync and Baidu map.

A decision like this to ban applications is being viewed as India’s first ‘real’ retaliation against China, following the recent clash.

The incident being referred to was a conflict between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley on 15 June.

India’s army said 20 of its soldiers were killed in the incident, however China is yet to announce its fatalities.

When it comes to approaches in combat, there has been a lot of debate in China over the different types of fighting styles to use.

In particular, questioning the virtues of the hybrid fighting style of mixed martial arts and the traditional Chinese kung fu approach.

It is certain that these troops would be implemented to help border patrol soldiers and special forces in hand-to-hand combat training.

All of which has been brought to light by China’s state media.

China has not said whether any of its soldiers were killed but accused India of a “deliberate provocation”.

In wake of this clash, a number of Chinese apps have experienced a dip in downloads in India.

And there have now been calls for a complete ban on Chinese apps in the country.
