Wrestler known as ‘Night Stalker’ accused of raping quadriplegic woman as she stayed with him and his pregnant wife at their home

A WRESTLER known as the Night Stalker has been jailed for allegedly raping a quadriplegic woman who was living with him and his pregnant wife.

Scott Mathewson’s DNA matched samples collected from the wheelchair-bound woman after the alleged attacks at his Florida home, police said.

The alleged victim said she tried in vain to fight off the suspect, who works as a carer, when he forcefully performed oral sex on her.

Later the same day he raped her after she had a bath, she told investigators.

The unnamed woman, who lived with Mathewson, 47, and his pregnant wife April, had her legs and arms paralysed when she was 23.

Police launched an investigation after the accuser, whose age has not been revealed, told a welfare officer the suspect sexually assaulted her.

The bearded wrestler reportedly denied forcing himself on her – before his DNA turned up on rape kit samples taken by a nurse, police said.

Mathewson turned himself in earlier this week and is being held in Seminole County jail, near Orlando, accused of the sexual battery of a physically incapacitated person.

His wife April claims the allegations are “bulls**t.”

She repeatedly names the alleged victim and accuses her of lying in a scathing online attack.

Mathewson, who wrestles on the independent circuit in Florida, is due back in court in August.
