Goldberg shoulder barged NXT star Matt Riddle as their online feud came to a head backstage.
Riddle – who is in his rookie year with WWE – has been outspoken about his opinions on the three-time world champion.
The Original Bro slated the 90s legend as “terrible” and “dangerous” in a series of rants to press and on Twitter.
It all spilled over backstage however ahead of Goldberg’s comeback match with Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam last night.
Speaking about the incident on WWE Watch Along, Riddle revealed Goldberg barged into him – before telling him “we got some talking to do”.
“I am looking and all of a sudden, pow. Big shoulder, 300lbs at least. I look up and it’s Bill Goldberg”
WWE fans are divided as to whether the feud is for a storyline or a real beef backstage.
Riddle attacked Goldberg, 52, for the first time after the legend had a now infamous match with The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia.
The match became derailed after the former football player knocked himself in a bloody crash with the ring post by mistake.
The former UFC took to Twitter to mock Goldberg’s – saying “keep it up bro” and “making me mad”.
Speaking on WWE’s YouTube channel, Riddle said: “I walking by and I see [Goldberg’s] locker room and I am trying to get a peek.
“I am looking and all of a sudden, pow. Big shoulder, 300lbs at least. I look up and it’s Bill Goldberg.”
“I’m like, ‘Bill Goldberg!’ He goes ‘oh, we got some talking to do.’
“And I’m like ‘well, we can talk anytime, bro.’ He’s like ‘yeah?’ And I’m like ‘yeah.”
Riddle added: “Then I was like ‘alright, bro, well anytime.’ He’s like ‘I’m not your bro.’
“And then I’m like ‘alright, bro, take it easy, whatever.’
“And then he’s like ‘yeah, we’ll see. I’ll see ya later. And, hey, it was a pleasure meeting you.’
“I go, ‘the pleasure was all mine, bro.’ And then he goes ‘I’m not your bro.’ And then I walked away.”
Goldberg remains semi-retired – with his match with the Undertaker in June being his first bout since facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania in 2017.
He is one of the most famous wrestlers of all time, being an unstoppable monster in 90s and 00s.
Being inducted into the Hall of Fame last year, his glittering career saw him have a 173 match undefeated streak in WCW.
WWE’s decision to bring Goldberg back for a showcase bout at SummerSlam is believed to have been to help rehabilitate his legacy after the dire showing in Saudi Arabia.
Back in June, Riddle trashed Goldberg calling him the “worst wrestler in the business” during an interview with TalkSport.
He said: “The thing for me is, and one of the reasons I was never a fan of Goldberg in the beginning when everybody was like ‘oh, he’s so good.’
“I was like ‘no, he’s terrible, he’s hurting people’ and there’s nothing else.”
Riddle added: “I’m not hating – I’m not hating – I’m just spitting facts and these are all facts and things he should take into consideration.”
Riddle is tipped for greatness in WWE as he makes waves in developmental brand NXT.
The King of the Bros was on a four-fight winning streak when he was fired from the UFC for testing positive for weed.
The 33-year-old then gave up MMA for professional wrestling as he found his way to WWE.
He is known for being outspoken, not only attacking Goldberg but also fellow former UFC fighter Brock Lesnar.
